The Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), recognized as the top defense and national security think tank in the world, published a new brief on FERC’s large-load interconnection proposal, drawing on insights from Halcyon’s recent FERC analysis. The report highlights the same issues we’ve been tracking — rapid load growth from data centers and industrial facilities, evolving state–federal authority, and the trade-offs between speed, cost, and reliability.

Our work helped frame several of the themes CSIS explores, underscoring how our regulatory analysis is informing the broader policy conversation. We’re sharing this to highlight Halcyon’s growing role in shaping discussions about the future of the grid.
